
The mission of the Marine Life Center has never been more important. We have an awesome responsibility to protect our local marine environment. Protection is best achieved by helping our community – See, Touch, & Explore what is beneath the surface. The Marine Life Center provides this opportunity both at the Center and on our local beaches.

| $250 | ~ | Maintenance and repair of the observation pool. Close cracks in cement around observation pool and remove rust stains coming from rebar in cement. | |
| $500 | ~ | Buys one year of supply of chemicals to test seawater quality in MLC aquariums. Squalicum Harbor (marina is the source of the aquarium seawater. | |
| ~ | Or buys an octopus for the Center, if one is available. | ||
| $1,000 | ~ | Purchases new equipment vital to Marine Life Center’s life support system. Like scientific equipment to measure salinity and dissolved oxygen. | |
| ~ | Or a new chiller that keeps the seawater in aquariums cool in the summer. Present chiller is 10 years old. |
