It's not as easy as you think to catch
an Octopus!
Join Us! Help us clean aquariums, feed critters and check water quality. Participate in behind the scene activities that make the Marine Life Center come to life.
The Center is dependant upon community support. Volunteers at the Marine Life Center contribute their time to keep this center operational. Without extraordinary (extra-ordinary) people like YOU the Marine Life Center could not stay open for everyone to enjoy.
Volunteers need to be 18 years or older and the MLC needs the support of 20 volunteers in order to operate. Most of our volunteers are WWU students or adults in the community.
This is an invaluable experience to learn and get more closely connected with the sea life in Washington's coast waters.
